The Adventures of Herbert Daring Dashwood is a radio-show played by GNR studios in the game Fallout 3 and is based upon the radio dramas of the 1950s. It follows an action-loving adventurer named Herbert Daring Dashwood and companion Argyle, who is a ghoul. There were only four episodes in the show, each generally being around two minutes long. However the story is never concluded past episode four. The stories depicted life in the wasteland as the two attempt to escape a group of Slavers from Paradise Falls.
Although the story’s may be a bit stylised, they are true. This is confirmed by by both Dashwood himself (at Tenpenny Tower) and by the body of Argyle (located at Rockopolis). Three Dog staggers the four episodes over time, and plays them in a loop.
Altough you can find the audio on numerous places on the internet I can really recommend these fan made films translated into the visual medium using game “The Movies” with expansion “Stunts & Effects” and a bit of “Superstar Edition.”
Episode 1: Escape from Paradise Falls
Episode 2: Super Mutant Mayhem!
The second installment of audio drama from Galaxy News Radio in the Capital Wasteland, thrilling tales based upon the real-life exploits of an adventurer who is now retired and living in luxury at Tenpenny Tower. This episode uses Feral’s computer game “The Movies,” the expansion pack “Stunts & Effects,” and even a brief bit of “The Superstar Edition.”
