Dying Light is an upcoming zombie-apocalyptic first person survival horror video game developed by Techland. It is a survival horror game set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, players traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population with a heavy focus on freerunning mechanics. Many compare and it is noted that it appears as a hybrid of “Dead Island” and “Mirror’s Edge”.

“At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which appear only after sundown. Players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning’s first light.”Dying Light will be released on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. This 12 minute video is shot from pre-alpha footage and is your first glimpse at the world of Dying Light, coming in 2014.

Our Thoughts about Dying Light

Watching this 12 minute video I have to agree it looks and feels a lot like Dead Island… It looks cool and all.. but I have a feeling this game is just going to be mainly going from point A to B, kill some zombies, kill major big fat zombie boss.. Go from point A to Be, kill so….. etc..The Day/Night concept, where it is extremely dangerous at night is original and probably will cause for some major spilling of coffee over your keyboard, heart attacks and Cola out of your nose… But can this feature save this game?? What do you guys think?
